Key to the Door (easy)
This maze first appeared as the monthly maze competition for December 2016.
This is a calculation maze (see Calculation Mazes). Start at the top left corner, and travelling horizontally or vertically one square at a time, find the shortest route which ends up in the bottom right corner with a total of 21.
At each step you obey the instruction in the box. For example, if you take four steps down from the starting position you get the successive totals 1, 2, 4, and 4. If you then take four steps right you get the successive totals 6, 18, 21, and 22. So unfortunately that route doesn't quite reach the goal with the correct total of 21.
To solve this maze you'll need to use a pencil and paper; you can't solve it interactively.
