Monthly Maze Competition - April 2025

Every month Mazelog presents the challenge of a new logic maze. Solve the maze to get your name published in next month's list of correct entries.

Full details of how to enter are given below. Here's this month's maze:

Raytrace (easy)

This is a Mirror Maze (see Mirror Mazes). The beam travels from the star-shaped light source, horizontally or vertically. The maze contains half-silvered mirrors which can either let the beam travel straight through, or reflect it. The diagonal mirrors reflect the beam through a right-angle, and the vertical mirrors reflect it back horizontally.

Start from the light source and find the shortest route to the circular detector.

How to Enter

Your solution to the Raytrace maze above should be written as a sequence of numbers, indicating the route through the maze, where 1 is the top left cell and 49 is the bottom right cell. If you solve the maze interactively the solution will be typed in for you.
